It’s been a busy day; a challenging day. At times it felt a little overwhelming. That’s unfamiliar territory for the Professor of altitude. I decided to take a hike, as I often do. Being outdoors calms my mind and helps me find my center. God’s creation never disappoints. Somewhere out in those woods, wrapped in my own thoughts and intentions, I realized I was dangerously close to relying solely on my own intellect, without regard for God. I knelt in the dirt and prayed. When I finished I did not know all the answers. But I was able to let go of the need to know. Sometimes knowing is the wrong target. Sometimes letting go and having faith is the way. Maybe all the time it is the way. We will not always know. We don’t always have to know. Stay comfy.
